Oberdorfer Centrifugal pumps are designed as single-stage and end-suction units. The models utilize both open vane and enclosed style impellers. These centrifugal pumps convert driver energy into kinetic energy within a liquid by accelerating it towards the outer rim of a revolving impeller.. In contrast to positive displacement devices, centrifugal pumps operate more quietly and do not necessitate a relief valve to safeguard against pressure build-up.
These pumps are characterized by a minimal number of moving parts, which leads to reduced wear and lower maintenance requirements. Our range of centrifugal models is constructed from bronze, making them particularly suitable for marine applications and the handling of harsh solvents. Our centrifugal pumps can provide up to 20 feet of suction lift and can manage most challenging solvents when equipped with the appropriate fluoroelastomer or Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) seal. Additionally, several models within our centrifugal range are self-priming.
