These pumps are available with either bronze bearings and grease fittings or with carbon bearings that do not require lubrication. The dynamic seal arrangements include packing, lip, or mechanical seals to accommodate various application requirements.
The Oberdorfer Pumps Bronze Rotary Gear pumps are classified as external gear positive displacement pumps, which displace a specific volume of fluid with each revolution of the shaft. Consequently, the capacity of the pumps varies directly with the pump speed. They are designed to handle both clear lubricating and non-lubricating fluids, with a pH range of 4 to 11 and operating temperatures up to 400 Degree F. These pumps are capable of managing viscous fluids up to 100,000 cps (462,000 SSU) at reduced shaft speeds, with flow rates reaching 175 GPM (662 LPM), differential pressures up to 150 psig (10.3 BAR), and a suction lift capability of 20 feet (6.1 meters) for new pumps.
